About Me

I am a Learning Technologist at the University of Liverpool and I’m based in the Centre for Lifelong Learning.
My key responsibilities include:
  • Providing pedagogic advice to academic staff on the use of institutionally supported technologies such as Blackboard (VITAL), ePortfolio (Pebblepad). Turnitin, , Campus Pack and much more. I also provide training and support on the different uses of social media in Higher Education and I am keen to develop staff awareness of Open Educational practices such as using Creative Commons and Social Media.
  • Development of CPD sessions responsive to the needs of staff and students.
  • Development of support resources and case studies for all institutionally supported TEL tools.
  • Evaluation and research on the implementation and use of new educational technologies and educational methods.
  • Dissemination of research through regional, national and international conferences and networks
I also set up and co-convene the ALT North West England special interest group alongside Professor Chris Jones. #ALTNWESIG

I am an active member in the Media Enhanced Learning Special Interest Group (MELSIG) led by Andrew Middleton (Sheffield Hallam University)
